Health insurance coverage for older Americans, 2009

In 2009, 93.5% of non-institutionalized Americans age 65+ were covered by Medicare.  Of those, around 58% had some type of supplemental private health insurance.  8% had military-based health insurance, and 9% were covered by Medicaid.
